Since
Shedrin was a child, she loved to watch her aunt baking in the kitchen.
According to this owner of 1 Piece Of Joy, she bakes since during her
primary school days. Decorating and baking cakes gives her lots of
satisfaction because cakes means "JOY" and "HAPPINESS"!
Being
an office worker for 8 years, one day Shedrin realized it's time to
make a change in her life, to pursue her dream. She quit her full time
job and moved on to baking. Initially it was just basic baking skills
that she learned in Taiwan. Where giving up is not in her dictionary,
Shedrin was determined to find out more on sugar paste, fondant and
other knowledge through online websites and reference books.
"When
you lay your hands on something you love doing, it's no longer a job
anymore, it's happiness. The smile on customers' face is the greatest
achievement.", says Shedrin happily.
